UD Levante should have traveled to Madrid this weekend to play Real Madrid in matchday 8 of Liga F. The match was scheduled for November 3rd at 18:30 CET. However, heavy floods have hit the city of Valencia this week, with more than 140 victims fallen to this natural disaster.
The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has made the decision to postpone every fixture of the Valencian teams in Liga F and La Liga, as well as the lower categories of both men’s and women’s Spanish leagues.
“The sole judge for professional competitions and the sole judge for non-professional competitions of the RFEF have agreed this Thursday to postpone various matches that were to be held this weekend in the Valencian Community, seriously affected by the DANA that has caused fatalities and numerous material damages due to flooding.
The matches of the women’s football categories are also postponed, accepting – with regard to professional competitions – the request for postponement of Valencia Féminas-RC Deportivo and Real Madrid CF-Levante UD of the women’s First Division (Liga F).
For his part, the sole Judge of non-professional Competitions has determined that various matches of the First Federation, First Iberdrola Federation, Second Federation, Second Women’s Federation and Third Federation, both in men’s and women’s competition, be postponed.
Likewise, the decision affects different futsal matches in various categories under the jurisdiction of the RFEF, from the First Division to the Youth Honor Division.”
