Shares of Coforge Ltd.(up 1.87 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.6 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.19 per cent down at 42139.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 36.1 points at 24399.4, while the BSE Sensex stood down 16.82 points at 80065.16.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 ended in the green, while 26 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Piramal Pharma, Zomato, PNB and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of CARE Ratings, Piramal Pharma, Vishnu Chem, The Investment Trust of India and EPACK Durables hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Vinny Overseas, Maheshwari Logistics, SecUR Credentials, Rossell India and Goldstone Tech hit their fresh 52-week lows.
