Shares of MphasiS Ltd.(up 3.26 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(up 2.39 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 2.34 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.96 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 1.34 per cent up at 37853.55.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 88.56 points at 24666.9, while the BSE Sensex stood up 182.34 points at 81330.56.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 ended in the green, while 12 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Tata Steel and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Kanpur Plastip, Stampede Cap(DVR), Fusion Micro Finance(PP), Authum Investment and SBFC Finance hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Raymond, Godha Cabcon & Insul, Career Point, Aether Industries and Jai Balaji Inds hit their fresh 52-week lows.
