Bournemouth are interested in signing Real Madrid full-back Fran Garcia, according to a report from Mario Cortegana of The Athletic.

According to the report, Bournemouth’s head coach Andoni Iraola is a big fan of Garcia, and is heavily interested in recruiting him this summer.

Real Madrid have been showing interest in signing Alphonso Davies for a while now, and if they do sign him, they would have a surplus of full-backs going into the next season, especially with Los Blancos reportedly planning to offer Ferland Mendy an extension.

Be that as it may, it is still up in the air whether Real Madrid actually sign Davies or not, and that should have a domino effect on Garcia’s future as well.

Real Madrid also have the option to bring back Girona’s Miguel Gutierrez for 8 million euros, so it remains to be seen how this situation is handled by the higher-ups at Real Madrid.
