Beijing's Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park: a hotspot for summer fun

Beijing’s Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park has launched its summer “beat-the-heat” season, transforming the former Olympic venue into a lively hub for leisure and water activities. Running through August 31, the park is offering free general admission to all visitors, with fees for activities charged separately. To mark the graduation season, students who have recently completed the high school or college entrance exams can enjoy a 10 percent discount on selected attractions by presenting their exam admission tickets.

Originally constructed for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park hosted the rowing, canoeing, and marathon swimming events. Today, it has evolved into an international-standard tourism and leisure resort centered around water recreation.

Covering a total area of more than 160 hectares – including 63 hectares of water – the park features Olympic-grade tracks, eco-friendly landscapes, and preserved Olympic heritage, making it an ideal spot for walking, relaxation, and a variety of water sports.
