Real Madrid face Atlético de Madrid on matchday 16 of Liga F. The Madrid derby will be the first game of 2025 for Las Blancas.

The first weekend of 2025 is reserved for the postponed and rescheduled matches. The derby is one of the rescheduled matches in advance since this match should’ve been played in the last week of January. However, that week is reserved for Supercopa de España Femenina and the four participating clubs play their league matches from matchday 16 this weekend.

Las Blancas haven’t won a Madrid derby since December 11th, 2022, where in the meantime the two clubs faced each other 6 times. There were 3 draws and 3 losses, with 2 of the losses being in Copa de la Reina in the past two seasons. Real Madrid are looking to end this streak in the first match of this calendar year.
