Real Madrid started their preparations for the upcoming season in Chicago with a narrow defeat vs. AC Milan which saw Endrick make is unofficial debut for the reigning Spanish and European Champions. Nico Paz, who entered the pitch as a 2nd half was also impressive defensively, winning eight duels. The 90 minutes were split by Courtois and Lunin across the two halves — Courtois made two saves in the first half and Lunin made one in the second half.

Real Madrid fans also got the first glimpses of highly rated young center-back Joan Martinez who replaced the veteran Antonio Rudiger. The youngster was not as involved as fans would probably have liked him to be but he will definitely get is chance in the future.
